picked up this wonderful commission during my many misadventures at Further Confusion 2009. I spent quite a while browsing everyone's dealer tables and picked up quite a bit of cool stuff, if not free stuff from people recognizing me. I finally stumbled upon two artists sharing a table with some cool Pokemon stuff for sale (I picked up a small Charizard charm bracelet from them). I had this stray thought in my head to get something for Meuniere for Valentine's Day, and a commission sounded like a pretty good place to start - and these two artists looked prime for the job.

ndigoAngelCat and JenKiwi were two of the most down-to-earth and polite people I met at the convention, and for that reason alone they got my business. They may not have been the best and flashiest artists there but they took great pride in their work and had great personalities. I knew that these traits would show in whatever I decided to commission - and in the end they most certainly did!

"hat would you like in the picture?" asked IndigoAngelCat. I thought about it and I was kind of unsure. I wanted it to be romantic without the yiff, since personally I would find a gift like that kind of tacky on Valentine's Day, as stupid of a "holiday" as it is. I finally decided on a re-envisioning of my previous work Size Doesn't Matter. I paid for the commission and eagerly awaited its arrival and much to my glee I loved the finished product!

PDATE: Meuniere and I are no longer together which kind of invalidates all of the feelings I had tied to this commission, but all in all every time I see it I still am amazed at just how great it came out. Consider this an official plug for both of these artists' services, because they are great gals!
