omewhere in some biology book I have I know exactly how many ventral scales an alligator has, and for our eagle eyed viewers here you might notice that the scale pattern on our well-hung scaly friend here changed from part one to part two. I will admit, I am not the best at drawing each individual scale and I realize I fudged up on the first one, so I fixed it accordingly here. There's also a lack of scale detail on the snake(ess?) because I couldn't get it to look right and didn't want to risk bombing that too, because this is a pretty murry drawing.
peaking of the snake though, I mentioned that it was rattlesnake footage that made the metaphorical lightbulb come on in my head, but this clearly isn't a rattlesnake - it has too much prettyful colors. The snake represented in this series of drawings is actually a green tree python, one of my favorite kinds of snakes just because they are so damn beautiful. Their vivid shade of green is absolutely gorgeous, and luckily for you all they are a staple reptile at most zoos, so you always have a pretty nice opportunity to see one.
